GoSweetSpot satchels have a specific rate associated with them which in many cases will be cheaper than a non-satchel rate at the same volume and weight (our system will always provide the better rate between the satchel and non-satchel rate if it's declared corrected).
The only way for our system to know if you are using a satchel is if you correctly declare the stock as one of the below pre-loaded stock sizes (among some other pre-loaded options not shown here depending on your courier):
- GSS-A1 SATCHEL
- GSS-A2 SATCHEL
- GSS-A3 SATCHEL
- GSS-A4S SATCHEL
- GSS-A5 SATCHEL
- GSS-DLE SATCHEL
- GSS-FS SATCHEL
If you simply create your own stock size called 'A4' for example, this will not trigger the satchel rate as our system will assume it is a box.
We have implemented a checking tool that will check the name of your satchel and prompt you with a message that you may be declaring something incorrectly if it picks up something like 'A4'. However, it is still your responsibility to ensure you declare satchels correctly as there is no way for us to know definitively.
