Automatic Package Selection

  • Updated

This feature does not work completely for every integration.
Please contact support@gosweetspot.com to find out if a particular integration is supported for this workflow.

GoSweetSpot can be configured to automatically select packages based on the contents of your integrated order. This can be configured here.

There are two criteria that can be used for automatic package selection - by Product Code and Total Order Size (Weight and/or Volume).

Product Code: You can setup bindings to select packages based on the product code of the order line item. The product code may be known as the SKU or another similar name within the integrated system. It is a code that uniquely identifies the product.

You can do this by selecting the Automatic Package Selection (Product Code Mapping) tab and click "Add New Line" for each binding you wish to set up.

See the example below.

In this scenario, if a customer makes an order that contains a product with product code GC420, then a GC420 Printer (New Box) package would be automatically selected for the order.

Order Size: You can also setup bindings to select packages based on the Total Order Weight and/or the Total Order Volume. After you set up your bindings, the system will try to automatically select one package for you based on the criteria you have selected. The system prioritizes packages based on the ordering of the list i.e. it will try to select packages starting from the top. You can drag and drop the list items to re-order them.

See the example below.

In this scenario, if a customer makes an order that has a total weight of 5 kg, then a Medium Box will be automatically selected for the order. Only weight is taken into account because no constraints have been selected on the volume of the order.

What happens if I have configured both Product Code Mapping and Product Size Mapping?

The two types of mapping are designed to work together. Product Code Mapping will happen first. The products that have had packages selected during the Product Code Mapping phase will not have their weight or size count towards the total order weight and volume for Product Size Mapping.
