Print Agent 2026 (Windows)

This app replaces the Print Agent 2 application.
If you already have Print Agent 2 installed, the update path is very simple.

The Print Agent is the utility that runs on your PC in the background, managing all the print jobs sent from GoSweetSpot (GSS).

Please read:

  • We DO NOT support versions of Windows earlier than Windows 7.
  • If you have multiple users or computers using GSS, you only need this installed on the computer that has the printer plugged into it.
  • If you have a network printer, you might need this on multiple computers.

Modes (Simple and Advanced):

Print Agent 2026 supports two modes: Simple and Advanced. 

Simple Mode has no dependency on our server to handle the print jobs but instead the browser will download a file which can be picked up by Print Agent (monitoring that folder) and sent to the designated printer. Best suited for:

  • 1 computer
  • 1 printer
  • 1 or more users

Advanced Mode uses our server to serve print jobs which allows for printing across computers and faster speeds. Best suited for:

  • 1 or more computers
  • 1 or more printer
  • 1 or more users

Simple Mode Instructions:

To install Print Agent Simple mode:

  1. Most modern PC's already have the Microsoft .net Framework runtime pre-installed. If the installer is prompted, you will need to install it from HERE.
  2. Download and install the Print Agent from here.
  3. Progress through the normal setup dialog. The dialog will then automatically close after the setup is complete.
  4. A shortcut (blue icon with white "g") has been created on your Desktop as Print Agent. Please double-click to open this. The first time, it can take up to 30 seconds to start up.
  5. Select Simple mode

  6. Press Select Folder... and choose the folder on your computer that your browser downloads files to (most likely your Downloads folder).

    Then select the Printer you want the jobs to print to and press Save.

  7. The Print Agent is now configured but the last step is to change your user setting on GoSweetSpot to ensure that when you create labels, it will download the correct file for Print Agent to read.

    You can change this under Administration --> Preferences and Settings and select 'GoPrint / Print Agent Simple Mode - PRN Download' and press Save.

Advanced Mode Instructions:

To install the agent, follow the steps below.

  2. Download and install the Print Agent from here.
  3. Progress through the normal setup dialog. The dialog will then automatically close after the setup is complete.
  4. A shortcut (blue icon with white "g") has been created on your Desktop as Print Agent. Please double-click to open this. The first time, it can take up to 30 seconds to start up.
  5. Select the Brand you are using GSS under and then generate and enter the passphrase to login (alternatively you can use your GSS login details to sign in at the bottom right).


     
  6. You will now confirm your site name and the agent name.
    Choose a name that is easy to identify (eg. Dispatch PC).

    1. Confirm you are on the right Site
    2. Name the instance. This can be the PC name or operational name like DispatchPC.
    3. Click Save.
       
  7. Now select the 'Add Printer' button



     
  8. Select the label printer from the list of printers.
    Change the name if you wish to set a different name.
    Select the Format. PNG (Only use the other formats if instructed by the support team)
    Orientation, leave as Landscape.

    Click Save to save the printer.
     
  9. We would also recommend that you select the Setting tab, then check the "Start minimized" and "Start on system startup" checkboxes. 

You can now minimize the Print Agent.

Go to Administration > Preferences & Settings page HERE, refresh the page and select the label printer you just set up from the "Label Printer" drop-down list.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the blue "Save Changes" button.

Your printer should now be set up to print your GoSweetSpot labels.
