Presets For Commodities & Dangerous Goods

Some shipments on GoSweetSpot require extra information. Two common examples of this are the Commodities Declaration for international shipments and the Dangerous Goods Declaration for hazardous shipments.

Commodities Presets

Commodities presets allow you to save commonly used commodity information so you don't need to enter the same details each time you create an international shipment.

Creating a Commodities Preset

  1. Go to Commodities Presets. Alternatively, you can go to the following:
  2. To add a commodities preset, select Add New.
  3. Provide the commodity information:
  4. Select Save.

The information entered into the preset will be saved and can then be reused when creating a shipment.

When creating a shipment, simply begin typing the name of the preset in the description field. You will see a suggestion that you can select.

Once selected, the remaining fields will be populated with the information saved in the preset. You can review and update the information before creating the shipment if required.

Dangerous Goods Presets

Dangerous goods presets work in a similar way and allow you to save commonly used dangerous goods information.

This is particularly useful if you regularly ship the same dangerous goods and need to provide the same declaration information.

Creating a Dangerous Goods Preset

  1. Go to Dangerous Goods Presets. Alternatively, you can go to the following:
  2. Add some Base Settings (Optional):
  3. To add a dangerous goods preset, select Add New.
  4. Provide the dangerous goods information:
  5. Select Save.

The dangerous goods information will then be available to select when creating a shipment.

To use the preset, simply begin typing the name of the preset in the dangerous goods field. You will see a suggestion that you can select.

Note: Only the package with the DG tick box selected will be treated as containing dangerous goods. If you are printing multiple labels for a shipment containing a mixture of dangerous and non-dangerous goods, make sure the correct label is applied to the correct package.

Important Information

  • Commodities: Make sure the information saved in your preset is accurate and appropriate for the goods being shipped, including details such as the description, HS code, country of origin, value, and weight.
  • Dangerous Goods: Dangerous goods information must accurately reflect the goods being shipped. Only use a preset when the information matches the goods and requirements of the shipment.
  • Presets: Review your presets regularly to ensure the saved information remains accurate and up to date.
