GoPrint: Simple & Advanced (Windows & Mac) *Recommended

  • Updated

*Important* The latest Mac version of GoPrint on the Apple App Store is causing a crash for some users. If this is occurring, you can download and install the previous version here.

What is GoPrint?

GoPrint is an application that links a printer to your GoSweetSpot account. It allows labels to be sent to the printer automatically rather than the need to open the file and manually send the job to the printer yourself.

GoPrint now supports two modes: 'Simple' and 'Advanced'.

You may already have a previous version of GoPrint installed, which was just the 'Simple' option. This will still work, but we encourage you to upgrade to the latest version.

GoPrint Simple:

The main difference between GoPrint Simple and Advanced is that Simple doesn't require consistent communication with our server. As a result:

  • It is less reliant on a passive network connection, resulting in fewer connection issues.
  • It will only be limited by your internet speed, so you may see print speed improvements.
  • Because it is not connected to our systems in real time, it uses less memory and other resources on your local machine.

GoPrint Simple is intended for use with a local printer. If you have multiple computers and one printer (not accessible via a network), you should use GoPrint Advanced.

GoPrint Advanced:

GoPrint Advanced is designed to replace Print Agent 2 and unify our various printing apps. Like Print Agent 2, GoPrint Advanced:

  • It has a connection to our server, which means you can have multiple users connected to one application (regardless of which computer they are on).
  • It lets you print from any device.
  • It does not run as a service. If you need this for use on a server, please use Print Agent 3.
